Chef Ladi has been in love with food since an early age, which quickly translated into a love for cooking. Cooking is an art, and just like any art it lets him express himself in a creative manner.
His cooking career is a long one, but highlights include learning cooking in places such as London and Bombay, where he studied at the Novotel Hotel under the renowned Chef Ranveer Brar. In 2013, Chef Ladi opened Soul of India in Sudbury, which quickly became a hit with the locals.
Being someone that always wants to push boundaries, Ladi more recently he been mentored by his uncle, Chef Peppino, and has engrossed himself in the flavors and intricacies of Italian cooking. After months of hands on training with Peppino at Da Vinci in Boston, Ladi has now added Italian cuisine to his growing arsenal of skills. Now, Peppino and Ladi have teamed up at Da Vinci Bistro to create a truly unique and unforgettable experience.
At the age of twenty-three, Peppino moved to Boston where he continued his love for cooking. He applied his experience at the House of Blues in Cambridge in the 1990’s. In 1997, Peppino was offered the position of Executive Chef at La Campania Restaurant in Waltham where he developed a tremendous following of loyal fans and established a name for his exceptional cuisine.
After ten years at La Campania , Chef Peppino opened his own restaurant in Boston with Wioletta Zywina. Shortly after the opening the restaurant, Da Vinci was recognized by the James Beard Foundation as “the notable new restaurant in Boston.”
In 2013, embracing his Indian heritage, Chef Peppino along with his naphew Chef Ladi opened Soul of India in Sudbury, which instantly became a great among the locals and visitors alike. The journey has since continued to Da Vinci Bistro, a traditional Italian eatery which serves house made cooking in a warm and comfortable ambiance reminiscent of a true Italian bistro.

Chef Peppino (Shingara Singh) is Executive Chef and Co-Owner of Da Vinci Bistro. Born in India, Peppino moved to Germany at the age of sixteen and lived with an Italian family in the German city of Hanover . Through this generous family who owned a renowned Italian restaurant named Leonardo Da Vinci, Peppino was completely immersed in Italian culture and language. Here Peppino trained with the best chefs, learning everything about traditional Italian cooking.
